Project: Brand Repositioning

Objective

To reposition Pearl Drops to the media as a beauty 'must-have', moving it away from dental health features and onto the beauty pages.

What we did

A celebrity endorsement programme, featuring Holly Willoughby, glamourised the brand, and a strategic partnership with leading international make-up artist Ariane Poole provided instant credibility. This allowed for 'Insider Tips' press coverage and opened the brand to beauty editors. PR4 also created a partnership with 2009 summer box office hit, 'The Proposal'. PR included press screenings, premiere ticket promotions and movie-related beauty editorial.

Results

Pearl Drops enjoyed visibility within the fashion, beauty, film and celebrity arena. Coverage was directly responsible for sales increases of up to 600%. It is now regarded as a cosmetic product and is a firm favourite with beauty editors.
